Course Description

This independent study will give student the opportunity to work with a case study related to topics covered in the ECON X499.10+ electives in the Strategic Investments Program.  Students will do a case study and submit a final report for evaluation. The course instructor will be available to provide advice and guidance.

Topics include those covered in the following courses:
•    ECON X499.10 - Exchange Traded Funds & Portfolio Construction
•    ECON X499.11 - Financial Crises
•    ECON X499.12 - Impact Investing
•    ECON X499.13 - Financial Wellness
•    ECON X499.14 - Getting Started in Investing 
•    ECON X499.15 - Successful Investing 
•    ECON X499.16 - Fixed Income Fundamentals
•    ECON X499.17 - Fundamental Investing
•    ECON X499.18 – Market Analysis

Students incorporate topics from within these areas into a project to be completed by the end of the course.

Prerequisites

To enroll in Strategic Investments elective courses, students must have completed ECON X499.1, ECON X499.2, and ECON X499.4 with a grade C or better.
