Course Description

In this course, participants will learn strategies for behavior management (i.e. positive behavior support). They will gain an understanding of general classroom management techniques. Participants will demonstrate an understanding of functions of behavior and how to address behavioral challenges in the classroom setting.

Course Outline

Synchronous instruction and asynchronous reading and assignments. Formative assessments will be provided weekly in the form of essays and collaborative projects. A summative final exam will be administered at the end of the course.

Learner Outcomes

Students will demonstrate an understanding of positive behavior strategies for supporting and reinforcing student growth and decision making.
