Course Description

Introduction to investing in the market. This course will focus on the strategy put forward in Peter Lynch’s “One Up on Wall Street.” Students will read and analyze the strategies described in this book, formulate questions, and discuss them with experts in the field.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Articulate the basics of investing.
  • Explain basic stock market operations.
  • Articulate questions designed to gain insight into successful market strategies.

Prerequisites

Completion of ECON X499.1 - X499.4

To enroll in Strategic Investments elective courses, students must have completed ECON X499.1, ECON X499.2, and ECON X499.4 with a grade C or better.
