Course Description
This course introduces students to the organizational, financial, and ethical foundations of the sports industry. Topics include the structure of professional, collegiate, and amateur sports; leadership and management principles; and the functional areas that drive athletic organizations, such as operations, marketing, and compliance. Through case studies and analysis, students will explore how sports programs create value, achieve sustainability, and engage stakeholders across levels of play.Learner Outcomes
1. Identify key organizational structures and management models used across different levels of the sports industry.
2. Analyze the roles and interrelationships among stakeholders within a sports organization.
