CMPSC X425.7WD - Principles of User Experience
Course Description
The field of user Experience (UX) Design is ever evolving-- and with this evolution comes new design tools, techniques and strategies. As the first course of the UX Design Certificate, Principles of User Experience is an introduction to the science behind UX design, illustrating the breadth of the field that extends well beyond the web and demonstrating the strict research methodologies that support it.
Understand the principles of Human Factors and User Interface Design, including theories of human-computer interaction, and design principles and standards.
In this Principles of UX course, you will also focus on user-and-task analysis (framing, establishing goals), field research methods (observation, interviewing, testing, documentation of personas, budgeting), usability testing and the UX process (task models user journeys, content requirements, wireframes), and more.
