Course Description
The Electric Vehicle (EV) industry is experiencing rapid growth and transformation. In 2015, global EV sales were 580,000, but by 2021, sales soared to 3.5 million. Projections estimate that by 2030, 40 million EVs will be sold annually. This surge in EV adoption has created a significant demand for skilled technicians to repair and service these vehicles, as well as to install and maintain residential and commercial charging stations.
About the Program:
In collaboration with George Brown College, our online Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician training program is designed to meet the global need for professionals capable of diagnosing, servicing, and repairing high-voltage EVs and commercial charging stations. This program is ideal for adult learners interested in enhancing their technical skills in this rapidly growing industry.
Upon successful completion of the EV Technician Program a Certificate of Completion will be issued by UC Santa Barbara PaCE
No Prior Experience Required:
No background in auto mechanics or electronics is needed, and there are no post-secondary academic prerequisites.
Comprehensive Curriculum:
The program consists of 14 modules that blend theoretical knowledge with practical application through interactive curriculum, state-of-the-art simulation software, virtual lab/shop experiments, videos, animations, and real-world examples.
Hands-On Learning:
Students receive a licensed copy of CircuitLogix, which includes both 2D- and 3D-simulation software to reinforce fundamental concepts.
Flexible Study:
The program is designed for independent study with an average completion time of 32 weeks of part-time study.
