Course Description

Centered on praxis and organized around an external internship, this course builds upon the theoretical engagement of INT X415 for the implementation of social justice work and passions with post-graduate and/or career aspirations in various fields (higher education, teaching, or grassroots and non-profit community organizing, etc).

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Facilitate, design, and lead constructive processes of internal transformation within spaces of organizing and working using an intersectional justice framework
  • Learn how to collectively develop useable knowledge through the application of critical methods and approaches from INT X415
  • Learn how to recognize and intervene in the dominant ways of being (whether in the academy or in the workplace) and find your place within on-going struggles to uplift and empower the most marginalized

Prerequisites

In order to enroll in INT - X416 students must have completed INT - X415 with a C or higher.
