Our program is perfect for practitioners who seek to make positive changes in individuals’ lives through the implementation and dissemination of applied behavior analytic practice.
The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) has verified the course sequence for the University of California, Santa Barbara Extension/PaCE as meeting the coursework requirements for the BCaBA program. Individuals who have successfully obtained their BCaBA certification will be able to work in many disciplines/fields. BCaBAs can offer their services in various environments such as (but not limited to), schools, hospitals, organizations, clinics, in-home, and private practice. Many businesses are now seeking BCaBAs to help with organizational behavior management (OBM).

Requirements
This professional program satisfies the coursework requirement for the BCaBA credential. To be eligible for this area of certification, students must already have obtained an undergraduate-level degree in an area approved by the BACB® or are concurrently earning that degree.

Please note that UCSB DOES NOT award the BCaBA certification. Please review UCSB's Licensure and Certification Disclosures.
In order for students to become a BCaBA you must complete a minimum of 225 coursework hours, request for coursework attestation, accrue 1300 supervised fieldwork hours, and pass the exam administered by BACB. You can find more information here.
