Course Description

A practical and project-driven course centered on the coordination and management of live sporting events. Students will learn operational planning, facility coordination, and emergency response management. Using real or simulated case studies, students will explore the complexities of multi-department communication, scheduling, and execution that define successful game-day experiences at both small and large-scale venues.

Learner Outcomes

1. Develop operational plans that align staffing, logistics, and risk management considerations for live events.


2. Evaluate interdepartmental coordination and communication strategies essential to game-day success.


3. Analyze case studies of sports events to identify best practices and areas for operational improvement.
