Course Description

This course will use Glenn Singleton’s Courageous Conversations About Race to explore and dialogue about issues of bias, social justice and racism in schools. Participants will explore their implicit biases and reflect upon how these impact their actions in school systems. The course will focus on fostering interracial dialogue, developing racial consciousness, creating safety for race-based conversations, and understanding privilege. The course will culminate with a personal action plant to take back to the district and/or school site.

Learner Outcomes

Students will engage in conversations about race, justice, and equity in schools.
