Course Description

This course will focus on developing educators and leaders to use strategies that support the growth of their collaborative PLC teams and collaborative groups of students. Special emphasis will be focused on building trust, inviting conflict, communicating clearly, and shifting identity. Additionally, this course demonstrates how to provide these leading/learning structures in a virtual setting. Course completers receive a CenterEdX Level I Collaborative Learning and Leadership Certificate.

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn the foundational skills required to be an effective facilitator of collaborative groups in both in-person and virtual environments.

TOTAL CLASSROOM HOURS AND TOTAL UNITS GRANTED UPON COMPLETION OF COURSE: 60 Hours, 6 Quarter Units
(Note: One hour of lecture and/or discussion is generally considered to require an additional two hours of student workload per week. Hence one hour of lecture and/or discussion per week should typically be valued at the unit of credit.
