Course Description

This course will focus on the foundational principles of coaching educators and leaders to become more self-directed. Coaching is a critical skill to facilitate growth, reflection, and overall wellness. The course will cover the art of listening, non-verbal and verbal communication, effective questioning, paraphrasing, and using feedback effectively for growth. Participants will have multiple opportunities to practice and apply their learning in the course. Course completers receive a CenterEdX Level I Coaching Certificate.

Students will learn the foundational skills required to be an effective educator coach.

TOTAL CLASSROOM HOURS AND TOTAL UNITS GRANTED UPON COMPLETION OF COURSE: 60 Hours, 6 Quarter Units
(Note: One hour of lecture and/or discussion is generally considered to require an additional two hours of student workload per week. Hence one hour of lecture and/or discussion per week should typically be valued at unit of credit.)
