Learn effective strategies for connecting with students and making purposeful choices about instruction based on students’ needs. For example, TIP 404 offers opportunities for teachers to implement research-based instructional strategies to help build an effective, engaging learning environment. Candidates explore Eller and Eller’s Thriving as a New Teacher to locate and utilize strategies that can easily and effectively be implemented into their classrooms.
After having a reflective conversation with their mentors, first-year teacher induction candidates plan their course completion based on their area of inquiry. This series of courses provides professional development opportunities for teacher candidates working toward a clear credential.
Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of these courses, candidates will be able to:
- Identify areas of continuous professional study
- Present findings based on area of inquiry and professional development study
- Synthesize understanding of the teaching/learning process and prepare for 2nd year of Teacher Induction Program study.
