Course Description

Participants are introduced to the skills designed to helping children develop into competent beings capable of living full and meaningful lives. The course covers background information on Maria Montessori and guide lines for study and observation. Topics include: * Dr. Maria Montessori Methods * Developmental Needs * Optimal Learning Environment * Curriculum Development With Emphasis on Practical Life Experiences * Imagination and Fantasy * Montessori Classroom Development and Implementation * Development of Discipline, Independence, and Self Esteem Note: This is an independent, guided study course; all coursework must be completed within six months from the start date of study.
