Course Description

Participants are introduced to the skills designed to help children develop into competent beings capable of living full and meaningful lives. This course covers background information on Maria Montessori and guidelines for study and observation as the student shares assignments with a personal mentor tutor. Topics include: * Dr. Maria Montessori Methods * Developmental Needs * Optimal Learning Environment * Curriculum Development With Emphasis on Practical Life Experiences * Imagination and Fantasy * Montessori Classroom Development and Implementation * Social/Emotional Development Note: This is an independent, guided study course; all coursework must be completed within six months from the start date of study.
