Course Description

Participants refine effective strategies for improving their teaching practice while supporting all types of learners in California schools. Candidates will build on the knowledge and skills gained during the preliminary preparation program and the first year of Induction. TIP Y2 offers opportunities for teachers to access professional learning resources to further develop an engaging and effective learning environment. Candidates utilize a variety of research-based approaches to improve teaching and learning while continuing to advance their practice as defined by the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will be able to:
  • Engage in focused cycles of inquiry to identify, practice, and refine effective teaching practices for all students.
  • Demonstrate a rich repertoire of professional skills.
  • Advance their professional practice as defined by the CSTPs and prepare for continued professional growth throughout their teaching career.

You must be an employee of SBUSD and part of the TIP program to enroll.
