To earn this digital credential, students completed an intensive 30-hours of training and acquired essential evidence-based tools and skills to: (1) understand the origin of autism, (2) identify red flags associated with autism, and (3) learn how to support children with autism across the lifespan – from early intervention to adolescent years, and beyond.

Competencies: 

  • Learn about the history of autism since it was first described in the literature.
  • Integrate NDBI principles to understand autism and other severe disabilities. Identify red flags of autism. 
  • Learn how to support children with autism across the lifespan using an NDBI approach.
